Private W. Templeton

 

The background of this man is not known at present.

W. Templeton enlisted in the North Irish Horse at Antrim on 16 June 1916 (No.2196). He was described as having fair hair, and stated he was born in Belfast, and was employed as a tailor's apprentice.

He trained at the regiment's reserve base at Antrim, but was reported to have deserted on 20 July 1917. Whether he subsequently returned to duty is not known.
